“Finally.” Michael muttered under his breath, so fucking ready to get out of here. Especially now when the air was starting to feel tighter then usual. Lie there wasn’t much left to breath. Ray had disappeared already, so Michael took the time to move against the wall. Using it as a brace as he stumbled towards the stairwell, slowly behind the other.

Ray’s quick as he goes down the stairs, keeping an ear out for Michael still. He makes sure that the other is still walking behind him. He leans against the wall when he’s down all of them, arms crossed but ready to help Michael should he need it.

Michael snapped his head a little too quickly to look back at Ray. “And how can you not remember if you climbed up stairs or not? Did you fuckin’ fly in or?”

“Shut up, nerd. You need to be worried over sometimes.” Ray stops for a moment, squints at the end of the hall. “I think I see stairs? Looks like a sign pointing down? Well, whatever, let’s check it out. Better to do that than do nothing, right?” He’s heading in that direction anyways, walking slow to wait for Michael.
