“never heard of it.” angelville. tulip’s really never heard of the place, only ever been to los angeles in terms’a ‘angels,’ but it sounds like some goddamn made up place from a d-list horror movie. for jesse custer to call a place evil, though … tulip and him have been through some bad stuff, REAL BAD stuff, but they’d never chewed over it or feared it after. sure, maybe there was a long shower holding each other real tight, or some goddamn frantic fucking, but the day after? they were eating pizza for breakfast and planning their next gig. his smile fails to make her feel much better about the whole situation; tulip knows what jesse was like when she found him and she remembers the strange things that spooked him so much. the tattoo, the scars, the way his eyes glazed over like he was somewhere real bad when he woke up from the new nightmares. tulip’d always vowed she’d deal with the people who hurt him herself, but she doesn’t even know who they were. had it not been for the wounds on his body, tulip reckons she’d figure he was full of shit, but she’s not one to doubt the supernatural.
