“If you ask me, I think they’re lucky to have a friend like you looking out for them so that they don’t get too serious for their own good. Being mature is nice and all, but we’re still kids. We need to have fun every once in a while, or we’d miss it!” She never had much of a childhood herself, but Shiori didn’t need to know that; both she and the twins should make the most of their school experience to find their inner child and have a good time here at Hope’s Peak–assuming that the twins could relax enough, that is! Maybe if Shiori was able to help them, they’d even reach a point where Maizono would be able to make friends with them as well.
“I’m glad to hear it…n-not that they don’t smile often, but, um…” she trailed off, nervously brushing some hair behind her ear as she hoped she hadn’t put her foot completely in her mouth; in an attempt to salvage the conversation, she grabbed onto Maizono’s other comment and added, “It’s hard to remember that we’re still just teenagers sometimes…since most of us started practicing our talent and even working when we were young…I know that the twins had a tough time with their family, as did a lot of other students here…but, um…it is important to have fun, and live life to the fullest…even if it’s easy to forget…”
