The thunder that came was barely registered by Vanessa who was all too worried about her sister (and getting increasingly pissed off at Lily by the second) for getting scared. It didn’t matter, all that mattered was Karen, that was sobbing in her arms – and how could she possibly make this situation better. For the moment, she settled for just hugging her tightly, palms rubbing over her back in soothing mannerisms.

Storms terrified Nessa, that was known, but this time she’d chosen to stay in by herself, studying, with loud music, while Zach had Hope with him until the storm passed and Nessa was a functioning human being again. Needless to say, the last thing Nessa was expecting was the doorbell to ring. She rushed to open, only to find her sister, clearly distressed. Upon hearing Karen’s words, Nessa’s jaw fell agape and she pulled her sister in, hugging her tightly despite the snow.
‘ She what? S- she… left? Oh my god, Kare… ‘
